14834. judithathome - 5/5/2005 12:35:26 AM Well, bummer of the day: Keoni called and told me had to work late due to a time crunch. So no dinner out for me.
Imagine my surprise when he drove up with a to go order of fajitas for me! And then went back to work. He is absolutely the BEST husband in the world!
This was especially sweet because he hates Mexican food with a passion. 14835. Ulgine Barrows - 5/5/2005 6:51:23 AM 14765. Magoseph - 4/29/2005 2:04:53 PM
If I remember well, the last time you talked to PsychProf, he took offense, little imp. We haven't seen here since that time.
14766. Magoseph - 4/29/2005 4:07:24 PM
I meant to say--we haven't seen Prof since that incident.
Yeah, lonely runs both ways. Thank you for telling me that. Nobody needs to go between me and Prof now. In other words, butt out. You are your own imp.
Either we'll speak to each other, or avoid each other. I don't care when he comes back to town, and I doubt he cares which highways I take, either.
Yeah, lonely runs both ways. 14836. Ulgine Barrows - 5/5/2005 6:54:11 AM judithathome, I love all the Cinco de Mayo celebrations all over town! We had some great tamales last Sunday at church.
So sad, mexican food is great.
I'm so bad, I actually think Taco Bell is healthier than McDs. 14837. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 5/5/2005 1:07:31 PM Thanks for your thoughtful responses, Gang. I apologize for the drive-bys, but I'm on the tightest schedual imagineable. At this point, the venues for the exhibiton in Italia will be Ragusa & Palermo in Sicily and Florence or Sienna on the mainland. I'm now in prepress-hell with the exhibition catalog -- mostly because my cheap-gene won't allow me to hire a graphic designer.
auguri tutti 14838. TheWizardOfWhimsy - 5/5/2005 1:08:53 PM Buon compleano, J@H! 14839. wabbit - 5/5/2005 1:51:18 PM Hey WoW, it's good to see you and your beautiful work, even if it is just a drive-by!
Happy belated birthday, JaH. But 62? Surely you exaggerate. 14840. Ms. No - 5/5/2005 4:19:19 PM Happy Belated, Juditha!
14841. arkymalarky - 5/5/2005 5:24:09 PM Mornin' all. That was a wonderful thing Keoni did, Judith.
I don't want to be a dark cloud in here, but I didn't want to post it yesterday on Judith's birthday.
Our little dog Diva has disappeared. She's been gone two days and nights, and my hope is that someone picked her up thinking she was a stray or lost dog, since we'd taken her collar off a couple of weeks ago because it was chafing her. We're going to call the neighbor circuit and run ads today.
Just when things start to smooth out some kind of crap hits around here. Like Rosanna Rosanna-Danna used to say.... 14842. wabbit - 5/5/2005 5:52:08 PM Oh, Arky, I'm so sorry to hear about Diva. I hope she turns up safe and sound.
Our local NPR station, which is a mile down the road from me, does a lost-and-found-pet feature daily when they have something to broadcast. Most days you don't hear anything. Monday they had a found item - a brown and white spotted llama. 14843. thoughtful - 5/5/2005 6:31:26 PM I'm so sorry to hear that...it's so distressing to lose a pet. My fingers and toes are crossed that you'll find her safe and sound. 14844. Magoseph - 5/5/2005 7:34:45 PM Oh, Arky, I hope too that you find her safe and sound. 14845. thoughtful - 5/5/2005 7:48:54 PM Our old cat disappeared for days once. We never knew what happened but suspect she accidentally got locked in some place as her claws were worn down...poor thing was trying to claw her way out of somewhere.
Then there was the time we brought our young dog to a friends house...dog got out and disappeared. I figured he was a goner. He showed up several weeks later, none the worse for wear but given his behavior, he clearly learned something about the birds and the bees! 14846. arkymalarky - 5/5/2005 8:47:15 PM Thanks so much, everyone. I'm trying to stay hopeful since we haven't seen any sign of anything having been hit on the road or anything.
How does someone lose a llama?
14847. Magoseph - 5/5/2005 9:19:18 PM We have llama farms where they breed them in this state and I guess they can escape from these places.
14848. Magoseph - 5/5/2005 11:41:55 PM How do you like this avatar? It's made by Tabby.
14849. Ulgine Barrows - 5/6/2005 6:24:52 AM I can't see it. Don't stomp your little last season Prada shoes at me, honey. It's a red X.
larky, I hope you find your beloved dog. 14850. arkymalarky - 5/6/2005 7:03:19 AM Thanks, Ulgine. We're really down about it. This is the third night. But we're leaving no stone unturned.
Mags, I see it and it's very suave--assuming it's not an outfit for the runway--she'd end up in the audience's laps! ;-) 14851. Magoseph - 5/6/2005 1:21:05 PM I can't see it. Don't stomp your little last season Prada shoes at me, honey. It's a red X.
It's always so nice to see you, Ulgine!
Arky, any news?
Hi, Mac. 14852. Macnas - 5/6/2005 1:28:01 PM Allo Mago 14853. arkymalarky - 5/6/2005 2:58:45 PM Mags,
No, and I guess that's good news. I've called all the local pounds, vets, news outlets, and neighbors I can think of and I'll put up signs this afternoon and announce it in church Sunday. If that doesn't do it, then I think she either died somewhere around here and we may or may not ever find her (we never found Bob's dog, and we know that's what happened to him, because he was very ill--Mose was a month old at the time), or someone took her for their own, and I just hope they treat her well.
