Meet the Big Nuclear Unit

My nephew and star pitcher of the Missourah Citah Tejas Marlins...Sean..I call him the Big Nuclear Unit after Randy Johnson and Nuke Laloosh

couldn't decide whether to post in Sports or here..I'll do both!

Y'all well acquainted with the McCutchen Standard of academic achievement and overall family brilliance

The surprise - a 95 mph fast ball, a change up, next year cut fast ball...maybe a slider by high school

I haven't seen him in his sexy baseball uni before...11 years old..boy's gonna have dem evil girlies chasin him fo long..he gonna be a hunky monkey ...thank God he takes after his uncle

and not his dad

Congrats on the nephew, Jex! If he keeps it up, he'll be something by the time he's a senior.

15288. Magoseph - 6/1/2005 9:54:43 PM

Can't see the nephew, Jex.

15289. Magoseph - 6/1/2005 9:58:11 PM

Good news about Mazie. I may have to get advice from you when Flexy gets his dog the fourth of July.

15290. Magoseph - 6/1/2005 11:24:54 PM

Hey, Judith, I just read your letter to the Forth Worth Star-Telegram--good work! How was your time with the MoveOn people? Did you meet some nice ones?

15291. judithathome - 6/1/2005 11:28:01 PM

Yes, I did...one lady had us over for Eggs Benedict afterward.

Her house is amazing, filled with antiques and her kitchen has a stove as old as mine but with eight burners and two seperate ovens. And she has another oven in the huge walk-in pantry. I loved meeting these people...they were all so appreciative of meeting others whith like-minded politics.

15292. Magoseph - 6/1/2005 11:48:33 PM

Two stoves and a large party: It looks as this lady likes to have parties. Maybe you'll get a chance to sample her cooking one of these days.

15293. judithathome - 6/2/2005 12:05:36 AM

If it's anything like the brunch she whipped up, I'd be happy to!

15294. jexster - 6/2/2005 1:38:08 AM

Mago..I am not a techie kinda guy..so I don't why you can never see photos linked from files my Yahoo! address book when I and others can.

That said, the only explanation that I can offer is - God is out to get you Miss Mags for moving my memorial day memorial to the fallen Ace of Spades and moving it to your little version of hell..l..

I dub thee Church Lady!

How convenient

The stars at night, are big and bright..

Judith

You could use Cromwells words from 1653:
"You have been sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God go!"

15297. alistairconnor - 6/2/2005 8:38:08 AM

A Fenian man quoting Cromwell with approval?

Times have changed!

God curse you Oliver Cromwell
You raped our motherland
I hope you're rotting down in hell
For the horrors you brought to Ireland

or words to that effect.

15298. Macnas - 6/2/2005 9:36:42 AM

Just because he was a murderous fruitcake doesn't mean he's not quotable.

15299. jayackroyd - 6/2/2005 4:14:45 PM

For Judith:

15300. judithathome - 6/2/2005 7:06:52 PM

Oh, that is so excellent, Jay!

I'm seriously thinking of going to church on Sunday...RatFink Perry has decided that bit about separation of church and state in the constitution is not all that serious and is signing into law an abortion bill and a anti-gay rights bill IN A CHURCH here in Fort Worth. I may go down there and hold a sign asking him WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN of Texas who may have their schools closed by the Texas Supreme Court because he and his cronies in Austin couldn't make time for school finance reform.

15301. Ms. No - 6/2/2005 7:24:07 PM

But fetuses are so much more cuddly and lovable than those pesky birthed children who have to be fed and clothed and educated and disciplined.

15302. PelleNilsson - 6/2/2005 7:43:14 PM

Ms. No -- My usually impeccable sources tell me that the secret, ultimate object of your leather working studies is this:

The custom-designed, cyber-spacialized MoteWhip for flogging recalcitrant posters.

In another development, we are going down to the countryside tomorrow for a couple of days. The big project is to build a new landing stage, a somewhat pretentious term for a 2x3 m contraption. But the contraption will be a floating one so the construction will be less than trivial.

15303. judithathome - 6/2/2005 9:04:20 PM

I think we call that a raft.

15304. Ms. No - 6/2/2005 9:06:24 PM

Hahaha, well, we only paint tooled leather black if we're hopelessly inept crafters. I do, however, know a couple of folks who make rather more exotic leather crafts.

I've no idea what the cost is like, but I know my dad built the floating structure for a raft about that size out of oil drums. They were welded together and then the wooden platform was secured over the top. It got us down the Tar river for several summers flying under Redbeard's flag.

15305. Ms. No - 6/2/2005 9:07:17 PM

It's only a raft if it leaves the dock.....what that makes a car that never leaves the yard I couldn't say. Art?
