15532. wonkers2 - 6/17/2005 8:20:25 PM My experience has been that the doctors with good reputations take more patients than they can handle thoroughly. And they are poor communicators. 15533. judithathome - 6/17/2005 8:26:14 PM My doctor is very conscientious; he called me the day of the test to see how I was doing and he said as soon as he gets the results, he will call. He hasn't called because he hasnt received the radiology report...there were about 50 people in that place the day I was there and I'm sure that many more each day since.
I'm not blaming the doctor. I know he would ahve called had he anything to report to me.
It IS maddening, though. 15534. judithathome - 6/17/2005 8:30:39 PM I was told to wait while the radiologist "looked it over" and I feel is something had been really amiss, the tech or the radiologist would have noticed something and rushed it through. The fact it's taken this long with no report makes me think it wasn't a clot. 15535. arkymalarky - 6/17/2005 8:37:20 PM A radiologist told my mother that's how they generally do, but where we live it's slow enough we usually find out what we need to know that day or the next. However, I have waited up to two weeks to find out I had an abnormal mammogram. Turns out the radiologist was almost certain it was a cyst, which I guess is why they didn't rush it.
When I had an ultrasound to confirm the fibroids in my uterus, the radiologist came in and looked at it and asked if I was having a hysterectomy. I'd already had one ultrasound in the doctor's office and knew that's what the plan was.
Anyway, I hope you get a report soon. It would be nice if it came before the weekend. 15536. arkymalarky - 6/17/2005 8:39:18 PM Another thing I like about where I go is that when you get the follow-up on an abnormal mammogram the radiologists tell you right then if it's a cyst. 15537. wonkers2 - 6/17/2005 9:08:13 PM I've appeared for a 3pm appointment with my interist and not gotten in til 5:30 pm. But he's good and worth waiting for. But I do wonder how much time he spends refreshing himself on my file, tests, etc. 15538. judithathome - 6/17/2005 11:26:07 PM The doctor just called and said the test showed nothing wrong. I have to go in next week and set up a bone density test...he thinks the pain might be from something to do with my broken leg. 15539. webfeet - 6/17/2005 11:54:47 PM Glad to hear it. 15540. webfeet - 6/18/2005 12:04:24 AM Mags
I forgot all the skeletons that fell out of that closet but the ending with the murder of the adulterous father seemed dull in comparison to the foreshadowing. I was expecting something more--I don't know what exactly, but not the Clue style ending with the body in the library.
Did either you or Alistair see "Merci Pour Le Chocolat?"
You can't take your eyes off Isabelle Huppert in that one.
She has the homicidal blonde thing down to a tee. 15541. Ulgine Barrows - 6/18/2005 4:59:08 AM 15509. alistairconnor, sweetie, if you're wearing a suit and tie, the flirty skirts are bound to brush against you. Beware!
I don't know enough about this new job for stories, yet.
Are you going to take that corpirate job?
NOT a typo judithathome, a joke......a bad joke to make your leg feel better
15521. thoughtful, well, glad to have a backup plan! That is such a weird story, that runaway bride. And the media circus around it.....I heard a commercial for cars the other day, resulting from the M Jackson trial results. 15542. wonkers2 - 6/18/2005 1:08:53 PM "You don't build a company like this with lace on your underwear." Here. 15543. judithathome - 6/18/2005 5:13:32 PM that corpirate job
Excellent punning, Ulgine! 15544. Magoseph - 6/18/2005 6:52:13 PM Hi, Won. Last night, I took Flexy to the emergency room--he could not breathe and his chest was tight---we spent three hours there while he was being treated. It scared the hell out of me driving him there—he sounded as he was breathing his last.
Web, I will answer when I am recovered from that fright. 15545. arkymalarky - 6/18/2005 6:56:51 PM My goodness, Mags. I hope he's ok. 15546. Magoseph - 6/18/2005 7:10:41 PM He is fine, thanks, Arky--blood pressure, temperature were okay--He has just breathed too much dust in the garage yesterday when he proceeded to sweep the floor. We have a dust-free environment in the house, but unfortunately not in the garage, a place where he should not be at any time, I always tell him. 15547. Magoseph - 6/18/2005 7:14:06 PM What I can’t fathom is why a man, as careful as Flexy is about everything, would take a chance like that when he knows very well what the outcome can be. 15548. judithathome - 6/18/2005 9:23:50 PM Magos, what a distressing evening! Glad everything is okay now but what an awful thing to go through. 15549. Ulgine Barrows - 6/20/2005 7:51:26 AM Holy crap, Magoseph! I've heard of dust allergies, but what do you have to live with? Flexy would hate our house.
Glad he's OK. 15550. Macnas - 6/20/2005 8:00:32 AM Say hello to Flexi for me Mago, and tell him if he can't stay out of the garage, put on a dust mask.
I'll have a pint for him later on tonight. 15551. Ulgine Barrows - 6/20/2005 10:14:40 AM Yes, let's all pray in our way.
Flexy.
