Received from our friend, Random International’s host, the following post:

Don't mess w/ little old ladies

An operations manager for Jack in the Box was late for
a meeting and called his boss to tell him he was running late. As he was leaving the voice mail message, he witnessed an accident and went on to provide "play by play" of the incident. This is the actual voice mail message.
It was forwarded so many times within Jack in the Box, it crashed their voice mail server.

But are you sure there shouldn't be some oil in there?

No oil, Pelle, that's why I chose it--Flexy needs to cut down on fat, but I don't suppose some olive oil would hurt him much once in a while. I'll try it next time, but there won't be a next time soon for the Salade Niçoise since Flexy had me making another one after the first one--yes--he did!

I'm certain they make it in New-Orleans, Jex--It's a staple for them, I bet

And by the way, dear Ms. No, I worked on the mice puzzle, but I couln't get pass level 8, darn it--my right hand hurts. I hope I don't get up in the middle of the night to try again--I hate for a game to get the best of me.

A member of the election committee for the village just called and said they want me to run in May against the incumbent on our village council. The caller said my name was tossed around and they decided I could beat this guy...heck, my DOG could beat this guy!

In the midst of our conversation, I told the guy I felt I should confess two things so they wouldn't be blindsided by the opposition: I admitted to being a Democrat and an atheist. After he finished sputtering (he had Bush signs in his yard for months) he said he had to grab his heart and that one of those things just disappointed he more than he could say...he was laughing and joking with me but I finally got him to admit it was the news I was a Democrat that wounded him most.

Hey, Mac!

15816. Macnas - 7/14/2005 3:16:42 PM

Hello Mago.

15817. arkymalarky - 7/14/2005 4:05:00 PM

Is the humidity high, Mac? That's what's killer when it's hot.

15818. PelleNilsson - 7/14/2005 4:08:26 PM

Thanks, wabbit. An amazing site.

It is hot here too. Close to 30C (86F) for almost two weeks. From here I can see some birches which for lack of rain have started to turn yellow two months ahead of time. But cooler weather with some rain is said to be on its way.
