I meant a leaf.

16714. Ms. No - 9/24/2005 4:17:49 PM

A teaspoon of some vitamin additive dropped in soy-milk? Some flavorful spice added to pancake batter but before stirring?

16715. judithathome - 9/24/2005 5:28:14 PM

It looks cool, whatever it is.

Maple flavoring added to vanilla protein drink.

16716. PelleNilsson - 9/24/2005 5:37:29 PM

Dog vomit in porcelain basin.

16717. Magoseph - 9/24/2005 5:39:55 PM

Hey, Ano, come back soon.

16718. arkymalarky - 9/24/2005 5:51:41 PM

Hahaha! Pelle, yours comes closer to my guess, I think because of Thoughtful's gross spider and bite pictures earlier. No did good on the milk. I didn't see that before she posted. I'd be scary with an inkblot whatchacallit test.

16719. PelleNilsson - 9/24/2005 7:26:12 PM

Rorschach.

Wasn't Yossarian subjected to a Rorschach test and responded to every picture "It reminds me of sex"?

16720. thoughtful - 9/24/2005 7:48:39 PM

Prize goes to Judithah! It's a few drops of maple extract added to milk...the extract always churns and shoots out in the most interesting patterns. It's the start of our sat a.m. breakfast...follow on being eggs added to the milk and beaten to make whole wheat french toast served with 100% maple syrup, butter, and slices of fresh strawberries. Yum.

16721. judithathome - 9/24/2005 8:00:44 PM

Okay, patting myself on back...I showed it to Keoni and he was amazed I got the flavor! Ha!

16722. arkymalarky - 9/24/2005 8:33:27 PM

Congrats Judith!

I'd have never spelled "Rorschach" in a million years. I finally remembered the word and tried to google it to figure out the spelling and this stupid isp wouldn't load the google page.

16723. arkymalarky - 9/24/2005 8:34:14 PM

Yeow!

I don't remember that about Yossarian, but I'm sure you're right. I need to read that again.

16724. arkymalarky - 9/24/2005 8:35:48 PM

?

"That book"

Well, it's rained enough that the satellite keeps going out. I guess I ought to resign myself to a rural lifestyle and quit trying to have it both ways out here. It would cut down on 50% of my whining, and on %100 of the part y'all get exposed to. ;-)

16725. arkymalarky - 9/24/2005 8:44:21 PM

Well, evidently all the other Arky hicks in my part of the state are also out of satellite reception and now they're on this slow isp with me. It's crawling and I keep getting disconnected. Guess I'll read a book before the lights go out. I swear, this Christmas Santa's bringing us a dadgummed generator.

Y'all stay dry.

16726. judithathome - 9/24/2005 9:20:52 PM

Not only could I spell Rorschach but I've been to the town of the same name near the border of Germany and Switzerland.

16727. PelleNilsson - 9/24/2005 9:52:06 PM

Catch 22 belongs to the books I re-read every five years or so. I think it's time soon.

16728. arkymalarky - 9/25/2005 12:31:44 AM

Well, satellite's been back and puter's back to "normal." Coincidencs? I think not.

16729. arkymalarky - 9/25/2005 12:34:38 AM

I used to have a short list of books I'd reread every few years, among them Wind in the Willows and Lord of the Rings. They're good for my psyche. I actually bought a new one-volume LotR book when I had my surgery and didn't get around to reading it, but I'm thinking I will this winter. I finally saw the first two movies this summer on TV. I wish I could have seen them in the theater.

16730. arkymalarky - 9/25/2005 12:36:16 AM

Man, the wind is really whipping here. I'm loving this weather. Rain all day and temps in the 70sF.

16731. arkymalarky - 9/25/2005 12:37:04 AM

Gotta go to the porch now. Too bad it wasn't this neat outside when the computer and satellite were screwing up.

16732. wonkers2 - 9/25/2005 1:52:48 AM

I've read Catch 22 a couple of times. It's one of my all-time favorites. It's also my youngest son'e favorite book. I find satisfaction when my children like books or movies I liked. Usually it's not on my recommendation but by their chance discovery. (They don't respond readily to my recommendations.)
