Scott

You might want to try listening to Declan O'Rourke, his song "Galileo" is very nice.

Which reminds me that I have two books by your Booker prize winner: Copernicus and Kepler.

16990. Macnas - 10/13/2005 3:53:26 PM

What do you think?

16991. PelleNilsson - 10/13/2005 5:00:38 PM

I had never heard of Banville when I bought the books. I thought they were popular biographies. But of course they are literary "biographies" with a lot of poetic licence. Powerful, though, and his language is evocative.

16992. Macnas - 10/13/2005 5:21:32 PM

Yes, that is his strength. His novels are fine examples of how to use the language.

16993. Magoseph - 10/13/2005 7:14:26 PM

Well, Mac must be home now and I missed him.

Hello, Moties!

16994. Ms. No - 10/13/2005 8:59:28 PM

Hi Magos!

16995. Magoseph - 10/13/2005 9:01:25 PM

I was waiting as you can see for someone to say hello to me.
How very nice of you to do so!

16996. Magoseph - 10/13/2005 9:03:17 PM

I'm watching the market--I'm nervous.

16997. Jenerator - 10/13/2005 10:06:38 PM

Does anyone

16998. Jenerator - 10/13/2005 10:06:45 PM

want to

16999. Jenerator - 10/13/2005 10:06:52 PM

make a

17000. Jenerator - 10/13/2005 10:07:00 PM

run for it??

17001. Jenerator - 10/13/2005 10:07:20 PM

No??!!

17002. Jenerator - 10/13/2005 10:07:47 PM

This means I have to enjoy my meaningless victory alone!

17003. Ms. No - 10/13/2005 10:37:42 PM

Aaaaahhh!!!!!

I can't believe I missed that!!! Hell, I was even looking for it on Thursday figuring I'd miss it and now here I was within reach and didn't even notice.

Congrats, Jen!

17004. Ms. No - 10/13/2005 10:38:25 PM

Mago,

What's happening with the market? I never know any news until I leave work unless something huge happens and my co-workers come tell me.

17005. Jenerator - 10/13/2005 11:05:38 PM

Thanks MsNo.

;-)

17006. Magoseph - 10/14/2005 12:05:11 AM

Hi, Jen.

Ms. No--not much happened at the end, just various fears being expressed.

17007. wonkers2 - 10/14/2005 12:13:32 AM

The market ain't looking very good--higher interest rates, housing bubble, growing deficit, troubled U.S. car companies, high oil and natural gas prices, White House in disarray, etc, etc.
