17282. Magoseph - 10/28/2005 4:53:36 PM I'm glued to the TV--how about you? 17283. judithathome - 10/28/2005 5:00:39 PM For sure! 17284. arkymalarky - 10/28/2005 5:06:16 PM It's a great day to be off work. We're calling it "fall break."
Mazie's getting spayed today, and I'm going to go back and forth between the recliner and the porch all day. If it gets too nice, I may move my portable tv out there. 17285. Magoseph - 10/28/2005 5:06:19 PM Funny Cats 17286. Magoseph - 10/28/2005 5:14:29 PM I sent you an e-mail this morning, Arky. 17287. thoughtful - 10/28/2005 5:16:30 PM Thanks mags..i really enjoyed the laugh. 17288. arkymalarky - 10/28/2005 5:19:09 PM Got it and just replied. Thanks! It's funny, had I known I would end up being a teacher I probably wouldn't have gotten creative with my nickname spelling in junior high school (somehow it stuck and I never changed it back)! Or I guess I could have done like friends with the same name and graduated to the long version. 17289. Magoseph - 10/28/2005 5:23:42 PM Anyway, I am glad you have a sense of humor--I regretted to have sent it to you the second after I clicked Send. 17290. judithathome - 10/28/2005 5:23:42 PM I loved that cat jumping out and knocking the baby over...guess I have a grim sense of humor! 17291. arkymalarky - 10/28/2005 6:07:18 PM I can't imagine why, Mags. 17292. Magoseph - 10/28/2005 7:00:30 PM Neither can I now, Arky. 17293. arkymalarky - 10/28/2005 7:08:47 PM I don't email people often at all, but I enjoy getting personal emails. I'm kind of that way about Christmas cards, too. ;-) 17294. Magoseph - 10/28/2005 7:38:18 PM Oh, goodness, what are you saying--I may e-mail my daily schedule to you every morning and the recital of my activities in the evening.

(Family members will attest to that). 17297. Ms. No - 10/29/2005 12:58:47 AM gawd. I've been reading back through the Iraq War archives and I'm astounded that I actually sound like a real grown up the few times I posted.
17298. Ms. No - 10/29/2005 1:06:51 AM okay, false alarm. I just got the "when monkeys fly out of my butt" part. Big relief. 17299. arkymalarky - 10/29/2005 1:41:48 AM Hey, if I recall that's pretty grown up compared to some of the stuff that was floating around for a while there. I've got to look through all that. I've just gotten settled in for the evening and need a good read. 17301. Magoseph - 10/29/2005 8:12:09 AM The Mote Cafe

From a friend:
Last week, during a conversation with a gay Norwegian friend ("Paul") who lives in San Francisco, I told him about the recent marriage of another friend (Dee, a San Francisco native) to a Norwegian man. Paul said, "You should tell them that there is a Norwegian princess living in San Francisco." I started laughing, thinking that he was referring to himself. He said, "No, I'm serious! There really is a Norwegian princess living in San Francisco!"
He went to tell me that her name is Princesse Ragnhild and that she is the granddaughter of the late King Olaf. Her mother would have been the current Norwegian monarch, except that she had a younger brother. He, being a male child, ascended to the throne; and he is Ragnhild's uncle, the current king of Norway.
Princesse Ragnhild owns three restaurants in San Francisco, and she actually works at one of them. Get this . . . it is a tapas restaurant!!!! In case you would like eat there, you should know that it is called Ramblas Tapas and is located at 557 Valencia Street.
Paul told me that when he was a child he met the Norwegian royal family. He said that he was not even allowed to speak to them; he could only genuflect. Now he thinks it is such a hoot that he goes to her restaurant and talks with her while eating tapas.
