j@h, would a walker be easier? At least on the arms. Get well soon. Patsy

18831. thoughtful - 3/10/2006 3:25:40 PM

Thank goodness it's nothing more severe.

I know how painful those crutches can be. Within 2 weeks of using them, it aggravated the nerve in my elbow and every step caused horrible shooting pains in my arm.

Can you hire a rickshaw instead?

18832. PelleNilsson - 3/10/2006 5:49:19 PM

Good news Judith (all things considered).

And Happy Birthday to Mago!

18833. judithathome - 3/10/2006 8:47:35 PM

Thanks, everyone...I'm managing oaky.

Patsy, I have a wlker, too, and use it around the house but believe it or not, it works on the arms, too.

It has occurred to me that I may end up with biceps like Arnie! Hopefully, the abs will get a workout, too. They certainly are achy enough after just one day.

Mac, you little sweetie! I copied that poem and saved it!

Hope the universe compensates you in other ways, Judith–as well as a speedy recovery.

18835. Jenerator - 3/10/2006 11:17:55 PM

Judith,

That stinks. I hope this is the last time you have to use the crutches. May your fractures finally heal.

18836. Magoseph - 3/10/2006 11:56:55 PM

You're blessed to have so many people who love you and love to show it, Mags.

Yes, Arky, I shouldn’t complain—-I’d probably raise a stink if they were ignoring my birthday.

And Happy Birthday to Mago!

Thank you, Pelle.

A very happy birthday to you, Magoseph!!

18838. arkymalarky - 3/11/2006 1:38:53 AM

Speaking of that sort of thing Jen, how's Marsh?

18839. judithathome - 3/11/2006 1:39:58 AM

Yes, add my Happy Birthday but not until a little after midnight tonight, Magos!!!

Buon natale Mago!

You don't owe anything do U?

18844. Jenerator - 3/12/2006 7:30:55 AM

Arky,

She is doing well, thank you for asking. Her recovery has been amazing. She is more flexible and functioning than ever and most importantly, is pain free!

She is loving retirement.

18845. arkymalarky - 3/12/2006 5:47:44 PM

I'm SO glad for her! She deserves every minute of pain free retirement. She's certainly earned it.

18846. Magoseph - 3/12/2006 6:27:16 PM

Hi, Arky!

Judith, thanks for the good wishes and especially thank my friend Keoni.

Jex, thank you, but why do you ask me if I owe anything?

18847. arkymalarky - 3/12/2006 6:43:57 PM

Hey Mags!

18848. thoughtful - 3/12/2006 11:09:00 PM

Mags, sorry I'm a day late but happiest birthday wishes to you.

18849. Magoseph - 3/13/2006 1:31:58 PM

Thanks, thoughtful--I had a nice day and long talks with my sons, remembering the good times when they were kids--much laughter.

What exactly does the word “Irisher” mean, Mac? It was in a recent NYT crossword puzzle and all I could find by way of explanation is that the term describes someone from Belford? I think that calling one “Irisher” has a more definite meaning. Does it?
