2051. magoseph - 3/9/2009 12:59:03 AM It certainly would, Robert, and maybe I should be considering Clay Gooding's ideas for the stuff next time I lose my cool. Not only could I do it in season here with impunity, but also I could use the installation in the winter that my Scientologist stepson left in the basement.
2052. wabbit - 3/9/2009 1:03:05 AM In mago's defense, when I first saw the topic, I wasn't sure where it belonged either. I thought of Internat'l, then maybe the Slow thread. News wasn't my first thought.
The grow-your-own conversation can be found in the News thread, Message # 9879 in thread 138. 2053. msgreer - 5/21/2009 7:45:00 PM Hi,
It has been a very long time since I have last been on theMote. I do not want to interfere but I am looking for jex. My email has remained the same...nurseisin@yahoo.com. Could someone please email jex and let him know I am looking for him? Thanks. I appreciate the help.
Hoping all is well with you and your families. 2054. wabbit - 5/21/2009 10:02:41 PM Hey Ms. Greer! I've emailed Jexster with your message.
Hope all is well with you too. 2055. arkymalarky - 5/21/2009 10:28:09 PM Hey Msgreer! 2056. judithathome - 5/21/2009 11:32:10 PM Hey, MsGreer...how are you? 2057. msgreer - 5/22/2009 1:07:56 AM Thanks wabbit.
Hi to Arky, JaH and wabbit. Good to see all of you.
Thank you for your concern on how I am... all I can say it is a most difficult time for me. I will leave it at that.
I don't want to promise I can come back on a regular basis. However after my visit to MA to see my daughter (June 10th-17th)...I will have more time. TheMote just may be a good place to be.
2058. arkymalarky - 5/23/2009 12:09:03 AM We're thrilled to see you whenever you can come by, and I hope whatever has made things difficult is getting better for you. 2059. msgreer - 5/25/2009 3:52:33 AM Thank you arky. Thanks so much. 2060. wabbit - 5/25/2009 2:21:01 PM Second Arky, happy to see you whenever you can drop in.
My computer has been blue-screening this past week, still fighting with it, so I may be more absent than usual for a while longer. 2061. msgreer - 5/27/2009 3:32:27 PM wabbit
Wish I would hear from jexster. We made a promise to each other, rather I made a promise to him and I need to make good on it.
The dreaded blue screen. Wishing you luck. 2062. vonKreedon - 5/27/2009 4:02:53 PM This seems a bit civil for a thread in which "incivility is de rigeur" [;-} 2063. msgreer - 5/27/2009 6:04:45 PM I hear you. I will take it to the Cafe. 2064. arkymalarky - 5/27/2009 10:17:03 PM Here is fine, though a visit in the cafe would be great. I think VK was just noting the niceness. 2065. vonKreedon - 5/28/2009 2:59:32 AM Exactly, and the irony, let's not forget the irony. 2066. Ms. No - 5/30/2009 7:35:25 PM Arrrrrg!!!! Motherfucker just let me get through my presentation and quit dragging us off topic into the same fucking argument about why you believe that white males are the most disenfranchised and discriminated against group in America.
God I'm so fucking pissed I can't even form a coherent thought. Well, not on paper, anyway. I just need for us to be released for break so that I can go out and rant in the parking lot.
LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE!!! I didn't choose the goddamned chapter, I didn't write it and if you'd get your head out of your ass you'd realize that I haven't even MENTIONED all the shit you're ranting against.
Jaysus.
And now the professor has been waxing on and on and on for the last ten minutes about fucking nothing. 2067. arkymalarky - 5/30/2009 8:43:25 PM Welcome to the world of the typical university education program! 2068. arkymalarky - 5/31/2009 4:39:00 PM That was a drive-by post, but when are you going to be done with all that? And what do things look like for you for next year?
Mose's masters program actually turned out great compared to a lot of ed programs and inservice teacher training, etc, for alternative certification, because they formed a community of first year teachers who had all their classes together. She made several (life-long, she believes) friends. They're trying to phase the program out, but I hope they don't. The heads of the program where she went are a husband and wife team and the woman literally kept Mose from quitting in the middle of last year when she was so overloaded. So now she's fully certified with a masters and the raise that goes with it and two years of teaching experience under her belt. Can't beat that, really. 2069. PsychProf - 10/20/2011 2:21:05 PM Just turned the lights on. 2070. Ms. No - 10/21/2011 7:52:31 AM ha! Makes me think of the Warner Bros. interjection:
"Shut out that light!!!"
