We're about 20 students short, and if we don't get the numbers back up and pass a millage we will be forced to consolidate; but hopefully the numbers will increase in the next year or two and the millage will pass. By the end of this school year we should know our fate for the next several years at least. And I can relax, because I'll be in a position to retire or go to part time, though I'll be heartbroken if the school goes, whether I need a job there or not.
It's neat working with Mose. As I thought, I hardly see her. She loves it, but she's drained. I told her I'd told y'all that story, and she was mortified. "You told them THAT?!" She is so funny. But she's SWAMPED with her new job. I haven't called her this weekend, but before school started she was working about 14 hours a day getting kids registered.
