26021. arkymalarky - 6/22/2010 7:00:02 PM Okay, all y'all come talk to me now! ;-> 26022. Ms. No - 6/24/2010 3:19:27 AM Wheee! Room escape! I suck at them, but I enjoy them for awhile until I get frustrated.
I'm currently just beside my geeky self with OneNote (cover your eyes AC)which I found totally by accident on my PC.
I have no idea when it showed up and I can't remember now exactly what I was looking for when it popped up, but so far I'm loving the dang thing and hoping they'll load it on my school laptop so that I don't have to drag my own back and forth. 26023. Ms. No - 6/24/2010 3:21:06 AM Arky & Judith,
I'm heading to Dallas for the first two weeks of July --- or, rather I'll be in Dallas at the beginning of the first week and the end of the second week with a road trip to Knoxville for six days in the middle.
I'd love to hook up with you guys if you're available! 26024. vonKreedon - 6/24/2010 3:49:49 PM Cos - I so love OneNote, I use it not only for taking notes, but I'm using it's shared notebook feature to do tech reviews of my content and it's email feature to send out minutes of meetings as soon as the meeting is done. Oh, and within a meeting when I get an action item I immediately create an Outlook task and set a due date/reminder right from the OneNote text. Love OneNote! 26025. Ms. No - 6/24/2010 7:25:00 PM Yep! Yep! Yep!
Our district is switching from Novell/Groupwise to Outlook and I've already got a ticket in to the IT guy begging him for OneNote on my school machine.
I'm putting all of my Lesson Plans on it and I can hook them straight into my calendar with action items when we do Integrated Units.
I'm wondering if I can populate an entire calendar with them to put up on the class website. I don't imagine it's compatible with the Google calendar in the way it is with Outlook, but it's not that many more steps to update a static calendar once I've got it up. 26026. arkymalarky - 6/24/2010 7:56:12 PM I'll have to check that out. I have several multi-compatible synchable apps like that on this phone but the one I use is evernote.
Wrt room escapes, that's why they have walkthroughs! Some I play repeatedly, tho, cause the graphics are so beautiful. My favs are orange-biscuit.com, neutralxe.net, gotmail.jp, and there are sev other great ones I play a lot. My fav places for new ones are escapegames24.com and escapegame.org. with gotmail you have to set up a free account, but it's easy, even tho the site itself is japanese. 26027. vonKreedon - 6/24/2010 9:50:09 PM Regarding hooking calendar items up with non-Outlook calendars; you can save your Outlook calendar as a .ics file and this is a standard calendar format that can be imported to other calendars. Now, I'm an Exchange/Outlook calendar only guy, so my knowledge is theoretical rather than practical. 26028. arkymalarky - 6/24/2010 10:13:56 PM I said evernote but meant easy note. 26029. judithathome - 6/26/2010 3:34:31 AM I'd love to hook up with you guys if you're available!
Well, say the word, woman! Give me a call...you can stay here if you want.
26030. arkymalarky - 6/26/2010 5:07:59 PM Ooooh, I didn't see that part. By all means y'all let me know and I'll try to get over there! 26031. arkymalarky - 6/26/2010 5:09:10 PM Ooooh, I didn't see that part. By all means y'all let me know and I'll try to get over there! 26032. Ms. No - 6/26/2010 6:50:55 PM Judith,
I'm confirming dates with my mom, but I was thinking maybe we could get together for dinner. I'd love to have you all out to my folks' place, but they're in Rockwall now, rather than Flower Mound, and it may just be more feasible for me to come to you or for us to meet somewhere. 26033. Ms. No - 6/26/2010 6:54:25 PM Arky,
Mom and I are road-tripping to Knoxville and I think we pass not far from you. I'll have to check her route -- I think she was planning for us to stay overnight in Little Rock for the first leg of the journey. 26034. arkymalarky - 6/26/2010 8:42:01 PM Oh, I would LOVE it if y'all would stay with us! We have plenty of room and the upstairs is all fixed up and waiting for overnight company! 26035. judithathome - 6/27/2010 8:18:16 PM MsNo...say the word and we'll meet up wherever you'd like...I've no idea where Rockwall is but surely we can figure out a place in the middle.
Or, if y'all want, we can go to Prima's...best Italian food in town. It's the original restaurant in FW owned by the family that owned the one where we all us Moties that time in Grapevine...that one gave the owner a heart attack so he's back to just one restaurant...it's off I 20.
Keoni works late hours during this season but if we have enough forewarning, I think we can make it just about anywhere. 26036. Ms. No - 6/30/2010 2:39:50 AM Rockwall is about 30 minutes East of downtown. It's funny how fast you can be in the boonies heading East out of Dallas. The only place I know to eat anywhere near Rockwall is our house...or my aunts. ;->
I'll check with my mom and then check back with you and we'll work it out. Could you email me your phone number again? I think I've still got it written down, but I couldn't lay hands on it immediately ---- it was in my old phone, but that's long gone.
26037. Ms. No - 6/30/2010 3:01:19 AM Arky,
Oh, absolutely! That would be wonderful!
I was looking at the trip plan, and it works better if we see you on the way back. That would put us at your house in the early evening on Friday or Saturday. If that doesn't work for you, let me know what's better and we'll plan accordingly.
I left a message on your cell with my number so we can work it out by phone. 26038. robertjayb - 6/30/2010 5:29:44 PM Thanks for the password, wabbit. You are a jewel. 26039. arkymalarky - 7/1/2010 6:31:24 PM Hey Robert! Wondered why you weren't around! 26040. wabbit - 7/1/2010 7:09:01 PM No problem, good to see you!
