Loved the city. We were there for the Feria, which involves no bulls but lots of drinking and eating and drinking. Oh, and drinking. Did I mention that? I intended to stick to beer but they have this official "friendship wine", when you meet anyone you know you have to buy a bottle and drink it with them. My better half, a nominal Moslem with a thing about Spanish ham, and her girlfriend, a Moroccan Catholic, went to university together in Malaga, having previously been to convent school together in Morocco. So you can imagine...
Yes, the tapas was good too. And yes, it was hot. It's surprising how much heat you can stand when you have beer and tapas and a beach. Many beaches have abandoned half-finished apartment blocks beside them.
