Does Concerned still post here or have you finally chased your last conservative out of the forum?

27416. judithathome - 6/30/2013 6:25:05 PM

What was the bet, anyhow?

Five years? At the rate my memory is fading, I'd be lucky to recall a bet made one year ago....

27417. iiibbb - 6/30/2013 6:35:08 PM

I'm fairly conservative... Just don't identify with the religious wacknuts and teabaggers that currently occupy the party. Also can't abide the unfunded wars or the assaults on personal liberty inherent to the patriot act.

They run me off.

"Conservatives" aren't conservative.

27418. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 6:37:45 PM

iiibbb,

I've seen enough of you to know you're not conservative.

27419. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 6:38:19 PM

Judith,

More on the bet later. Where's Concerned?

27420. judithathome - 6/30/2013 6:40:34 PM

Gone.

27421. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 7:07:17 PM

Physically dead? Or did you guys just torture him until he couldn't take it any longer?

27422. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 7:25:15 PM

The reason I ask is because Concerned also had a bet with Alistair about some environmental/energy topic, just as I did. I believe the sum was for $100.

The last time I was here, Concerned mentioned to Alistair that he still hadn't received his money. Alistair politely, but also vaguely, responded by requesting some address information.

If Concerned was still around here, he'd be able to let me know if he ever received that money. If he still hasn't ... well, then I know that Alistair either has a serious gambling problem or a character problem.

27423. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 7:28:58 PM

BTW, if Alistair had earlier emailed me to say he made a mistake and couldn't afford a $2000 bet because it took food out of the mouths of his children, I would have happily and discreetly obliged his request for complete debt forgiveness.

I have no desire to hurt his life. I just wanted to wound his liberal pride and sting his wallet.

27424. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 7:30:40 PM

But as of today, Alistair owes The Perfect World a $1900 subscription in my name.

27425. judithathome - 6/30/2013 7:50:27 PM

What on earth could be the need of $1900 by that site?

I thought the "owner" was making money hand over fist by having ads there...

27426. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 8:04:34 PM

We like running a very profitable entertainment site over there, so you can never have too much money.

turd eating Gimp, the "conservative" track record speaks for itself. Reagan couldn't survive the Republican party as it stands today.

27428. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 10:59:19 PM

Good point, ibby. That's why The Republican Party nominated in 2012 to represent the party and the nation a Massachusetts governor who provided the model for Obamacare, and who once said he wasn't a Ronald Reagan Republican because Ronnie was too extreme.

"I mentioned nothing about politics or your position at all," Romney said. "I talked about what I’d do to help strengthen families, and you talked about Reagan-Bush. Look, I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush."

It must be special having your own little conservative party of one, where you get to make up all the terms and conditions of membership.

27429. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 11:04:09 PM

Do The Mote liberals deliberately capture and train the stupidest conservatives on the planet and then let them loose to roam around the forum making everyone else feel smarter?

27430. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 11:08:00 PM

My name's Ibby. I'm a conservative. Or at least I used to be, back when the Republican Party was represented by sane conservatives like Ronald "Raygun" Reagan and not by dangerously conservative men like the promoter of Romneycare and John "Amnesty" McCain.

27431. arkymalarky - 6/30/2013 11:19:34 PM

I'm cleaning out our storage areas upstairs while listening to daft punk and trying to figure out whether lugging this stuff to a suitable location for a garage sale is worth it. The more I work the more I think not.

My goal for the summer is everything in its proper place and for a lot of things that's going to be the garbage.

27432. arkymalarky - 6/30/2013 11:20:34 PM

My parents are almost home from CO. I'll miss it but there was just no way to go this summer.

27433. iiibbb - 6/30/2013 11:31:57 PM

I voted for McCain over Bush. Certainly could not vote for Palin anything.

Could not vote for Romney because it's men like him that caused our economy to falter.

Have voted for many republicans

27434. PincherMartin - 6/30/2013 11:35:24 PM

My name's Ibby. I'm a conservative. I couldn't vote for Mitt Romney because he didn't give the proper respect to six-year-old transgenders - not like Ronald Reagan would have.

But then Ronald knew Rock Hudson. He know it wasn't a choice, but an identity.
