27899. thoughtful - 3/21/2014 11:10:16 PM Well, I appreciate all your sentiments and it helps me to acknowledge it. So thanks, J@H. 27900. judithathome - 3/21/2014 11:54:09 PM Well...I just wanted to let you know that the feelings are out there. I know that at times, I felt almost as though there was pressure to acknowledge everyone's pain FOR me...I may not be explaining this correctly...sorry. 27901. judithathome - 3/30/2014 12:31:28 AM Hey! I just talked to Frankster!
Decided to see if his old phone # still worked and...it DOES.
He is doing fine and sends his hellos to everyone...he's nursing an injured knee but coming along on the road to recovery.
Arky, he said he'd do his best to join us for the Gathering this spring...depends on the rate of recovery with the knee. 27902. arkymalarky - 3/30/2014 6:57:12 AM Aaaaaaawwwwww! Yay! Crossing all my fingers and toes! I thought about him just yesterday! I have a cousin who Frank reminds me of who I was asking Mom about. 27903. wabbit - 3/30/2014 3:41:22 PM Frank!
Speaking of knees, I just saw a tv commercial about partial knee replacement. I'm paraphrasing here, but the idea was that standard knee replacement removes all of the surface of the knee, while this particular partial knee replacement lets you keep up to 75% of your "healthy" knee.
My question is, if you have a healthy knee, why are you having this surgery?
It's me, right? 27904. Ms. No - 3/30/2014 7:15:15 PM Nope, not you. That just sounds dopey.
Or, my inner cynic says, it sounds like a way to make money off of people who really don't need surgery but are afraid some day they will so they'll have it now because it sounds like a better solution.
27905. wabbit - 3/30/2014 9:24:45 PM I think I know what they were trying to say, but someone really needs to edit tv commercials more carefully. That particular commercial is just all kinds of messed up. 27906. judithathome - 3/30/2014 10:02:21 PM So are the ones that guarantee permanent tooth implants in just one visit. 27907. arkymalarky - 3/31/2014 11:56:31 PM Yay! The April Fools banner! 27908. arkymalarky - 3/31/2014 11:57:38 PM Yay! The April Fools banner! 27909. judithathome - 4/1/2014 10:20:41 PM And yay! the actual April Fool's Day here on this side of the planet! 27910. arkymalarky - 4/1/2014 11:51:19 PM didn't get tricked, didn't play a trick. Maybe next year 27911. judithathome - 4/4/2014 4:30:03 AM Arky, look out...there's bad weather headed straight for y'all. 27913. arkymalarky - 4/4/2014 4:58:26 AM thanks Judith. I was hoping we had avoided it after the first wave, but that big red blob northeast of y'all looks really wicked. I don't know what to do except just hold on. I'd hate to travel the quarter mile to that dark snakey storm cellar right now. But if I have to I guess I will. 27914. judithathome - 4/4/2014 6:06:52 PM Waiting to hear from you....! 27915. arkymalarky - 4/4/2014 7:17:24 PM it had weakened by the time it got to us about 11:30 and was a nice enjoyable thunderstorm. 27916. judithathome - 4/4/2014 8:55:29 PM Cool! 27917. PsychProf - 4/17/2014 4:09:48 PM Irv Snodgrass is ill…pray and or/send good thoughts for him please. What a great guy…in many ways the heart and soul of Fray/Mote History. 27918. wabbit - 4/17/2014 5:30:33 PM Oh Prof, please give him my best. I was just thinking about him not long ago, wondering where he landed and how he's doing. 27919. arkymalarky - 4/17/2014 9:40:57 PM Oh my. Please tell him we're thinking of him and keep us posted.
