She said it was "enormous"! 28802. arkymalarky - 12/28/2015 11:30:17 PM Man! We're in Fayetteville and it's snowing. At home yesterday it was 78*. Glad y'all got through okay. 28803. judithathome - 12/31/2015 8:14:55 PM Wishing everyone a Happy New Year....stay safe! 28804. wabbit - 1/1/2016 2:36:25 AM Happy and healthy 2016 wishes for all moties! 28805. arkymalarky - 1/1/2016 5:31:10 PM Happy New Year all! 28806. Any flooding heading your way, Arky?
Go Hogs!
R.I. P. Dale Bumpers. One of the gooduns. 28808. arkymalarky - 1/3/2016 2:46:56 AM He truly was. All north where Mose is. Went up there last weekend and saw lots of water. 28809. judithathome - 1/3/2016 9:29:43 PM You mean that little stream down the road from you with the interesting bridge is not overflowing?
I know there is something special about that bridge but I can't remember what it is.... 28810. arkymalarky - 1/3/2016 11:06:37 PM Just old. Water was over it a bit. It. Didn't last long. 28811. arkymalarky - 1/7/2016 5:32:57 AM International happy new year from my second favorite site to the mote.

28812. Ms. No - 3/13/2016 7:50:34 PM Saw a great concert last night -- Cage the Elephant headlined and they kicked ass! Four total bands with Silversun Pickups, Foals, and Bear Hands. I expected SSPU to be my next faves, and their frontman gives excellent show, but I liked Foals' music more. I only knew one of their songs going in, but I'm streaming three of their albums on Prime today trying to figure out what my digital purchases will be.
I can't remember why I got out of the habit of seeing live music. It's like I held onto the concept of "expensive" from my college days when $50 for a concert ticket was something I could maybe do once a year.
It seems like tickets have gotten cheaper in general, or maybe it's just that the bands I want to see are less expensive. At any rate, I intend to see a lot more music than I have in the past.
28813. wabbit - 3/13/2016 11:10:55 PM My S-i-L just reminded me last weekend that it was 20 years ago that we went to Lollapalooza. What a fun weekend that was. Metallica, Soundgarden, the Ramones, Screaming Trees, Rage Against the Machine, Cocteau Twins, Violent Femmes...great time. My brother was freaked out by what he called the "Korn Kids", sitting against against a fence cutting...and nobody there to stop them or talk to them.
His younger daughter became a cutter. I'd love to say I was shocked. 28814. wabbit - 3/13/2016 11:12:22 PM First concert: Humble Pie, lead act was Spooky Tooth. Wow! 28815. Ms. No - 3/14/2016 5:06:27 AM Oh man, that's such a great line-up! 28816. Ms. No - 3/14/2016 5:07:05 AM Can I just say that after leaving my name as the last postr in six threads and then not being able to get back in later, I thought I'd broken the Mote. 28817. judithathome - 3/14/2016 5:48:43 PM Been there, done that!
And then imagine getting back in and not being able to get my posts to post...! 28818. arkymalarky - 3/17/2016 3:56:11 AM https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Dg-g7t2l4
Disturbed's Sound of Silence. Mose and I hugely disagree on this. I think it's amazing.
Cage the Elephant is coming to LR. We hardly ever do anything in LR. We went with Spook to see Jackson Brown in Fayetteville but stayed with Mose. We went to two at Red Rocks two years ago, but damn what a climb. We are such fuddy duddys.
