3221. magoseph - 2/5/2009 3:05:58 AM I wonder if we've lost Wiz too, Arky. 3222. thoughtful - 2/5/2009 3:35:32 PM I know that but wonks left because jex was banished...he may return if jex is allowed back... 3223. thoughtful - 2/19/2009 10:43:12 PM This place is dying a slow death. at least jex used to keep politics jumping if nothing else was happening. I never understood why he was banned. With wonks gone too, its just not happening any more. 3224. judithathome - 2/19/2009 11:50:22 PM I know...sad to see but that's the way it goes with forums.
My own is mirroring this one...what I call pity posts and that's about it. 3225. magoseph - 2/20/2009 12:04:56 AM We lost David too and maybe Wiz, four frequent posters. 3226. magoseph - 2/20/2009 12:08:06 AM Total, I mean... 3227. thoughtful - 2/20/2009 11:09:42 PM And concerned has disappeared as well.
Not a good trade off, esp since I never did understand what jex did that was so terrible. At one point I thought the rule for banishment had to do with making threats against another poster in real life, as had been done in the past.
And wonks was one of the few posters whose posts I've saved over these many years and I miss my discussions with him.
3228. judithathome - 2/21/2009 1:02:27 AM I'm wondering how many people are left who were so offended by Jex...seems as though Von K is the only one who raised a stink and remained. Others DID but they seem to have flown the coop with his banishment.
We had a short influx of people cheering the move but they don't seem too interested in continuing to post here, do they? 3229. alistairConnor - 2/21/2009 12:56:24 PM My philosophy is not to mourn anyone, nor to assume permanent absence if someone is gone for a few months. I love to see old friends return, and old enemies too. 3230. thoughtful - 2/23/2009 9:54:32 PM But it's hard to return if you've been banished 3231. uzmakk - 2/24/2009 3:37:18 PM I am going to be posting again soon. I will start with an account of what I have been up to. Jexster? Banished? Seems like a good move. Did the Wiz get his book published? Is he distributing signed copies? Was Cellardoor the guy who came up with Barak the Magic Negro? 3232. robertjayb - 2/24/2009 6:56:28 PM Hello uzmakk. Nice to see you. I look forward to an accounting of your adventures.
Here is David's Magic Negro column 3233. arkymalarky - 2/24/2009 8:39:32 PM Uzmakk!!! 3234. judithathome - 2/25/2009 12:45:18 PM Hey, Uzmakk...how's things on the Steppes? 3235. magoseph - 2/25/2009 4:50:59 PM Here, Judith, for our delight: Message # 25097 in thread 142 3236. RickNelson - 2/25/2009 5:35:24 PM Nu's intent is to have his final Mote Poem? Did he decide that?
I saw him in Fray Poetry a little while ago, and I've been so involved with the election, world politics and economics that I've only just now, read the Mote for some months. To long.
I'm always curious what's going on here.
I have had two health issues, neither life threatening, but impedding my mobility and relaxation.
Is Health still doing posts?
Is Poetry? I noticed it has no traffic, of course, as an archive it's my fav, as for interaction it's more time than I've allowed myself for matters of the mind.
Best to all of you, I miss your interaction and in a way wonder if I still come across you in the Fray Politics or maybe Today's Papers. TP is a joke as ever, so many nutjobs it's pathetic. Politics too. I wonder if Jexter is back there? I only just read of his ban. To bad he never took the hint to avoid spam. That was the cause I imagine?
I'm going to poke around now, maybe I'll get a chance to write to someone?
BEST TO YOU!! 3237. alistairConnor - 2/26/2009 8:59:33 AM Yo Rick! 3238. alistairConnor - 2/26/2009 9:06:14 AM Yo Zzmak! 3239. judithathome - 3/5/2009 8:41:49 PM Wassup with me having to log in after I first enter the site...I read a few threads and make a few response and then, am slammed back into "visitor" mode. It's happened two or three times this week. I have the "remember me" box checked, also.
The only other place this happens at World Crossing and that's a given there...they are so effed up. 3240. wabbit - 3/6/2009 2:16:30 AM Try deleting the Mote cookie, that usually fixes this problem.
First, make sure your browser doesn't have the Mote page open. Then - in Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Privacy > Show Cookies. Find the Mote cookie and delete it.
- in IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > General tab > Browsing History > Settings > View Files. Click on Internet Addresses, then find the Mote Cookie and delete it.
Usually that works. If not, let us know.
