...I'll except Conn'd here - he not only has the empathy of a scorpion but the brain power of one, too. He'll post literally anything as an apologist for the worst Right wing excesses, no matter how ridiculous... 45321. Wombat - 11/17/2012 8:36:40 PM Judith's edit nails Concerned's posting philosphy perfectly. Anyone with half a brain can see that, which is why--I guess--Concerned doesn't.
45322. judithathome - 11/18/2012 6:09:05 AM Hey...I'm gonna get a jump on Conn'd and post this before he does!
And the evidence keeps piling up - Republicans are absolutely, mind-bogglingly, batshit crazy!
President Obama is using a Cold War-era mind-control technique known as "Delphi" to coerce Americans into accepting his plan for a United Nations-run communist dictatorship in which suburbanites will be forcibly relocated to cities. That's according to a four-hour briefing delivered to Republican state senators at the Georgia state Capitol last month.
On October 11, at a closed-door meeting of the Republican caucus convened by the body's majority leader, Chip Rogers, a tea party activist told Republican lawmakers that Obama was mounting this most diabolical conspiracy. The event—captured on tape by a member of the Athens-based watchdog Better Georgia (who was removed from the room after 52 minutes)—had been billed as an information session on Agenda 21, a nonbinding UN agreement that commits member nations to promote sustainable development. In the eyes of conservative activists, Agenda 21 is a nefarious plot that includes forcibly relocating non-urban-dwellers and prescribing mandatory contraception as a means of curbing population growth. The invitation to the Georgia state Senate event noted the presentation would explain: "How pleasant sounding names are fostering a Socialist plan to change the way we live, eat, learn, and communicate to 'save the earth.'"
45323. Wombat - 11/18/2012 6:16:37 AM So it's the opposite of the Khmer Rouge forcibly relocating city dwellers to the countryside. Can't those commies at least be consistent? 45324. Wombat - 11/18/2012 11:06:36 PM Here's real Concerned-bait:
Charlotte Allen, a columnist for the LA Times, thinks that the Republicans can win in 2016 if they run Sara Palin. Allen apparently was not writing satirically.
Whaddaya think, Concerned? Could you get behind Palin for president? 45325. iiibbb - 11/19/2012 7:21:10 PM Do you think when Obama finally gets these reeducation camps going we can all volunteer for Concerned, or do you think we'll just be too busy? 45326. Wombat - 11/19/2012 8:11:21 PM He's pretty far down on the wingnut totem pole. There are only so many black helicopters and UN operatives. I hope you ment "volunteer" Concerned. I have no desire to go a reeducation camp, imaginary or otherwise. 45327. robertjayb - 11/20/2012 1:40:12 PM The blighted redistricting process...
The Houston Chronicle, perhaps attempting to stay abreast of the region's demographic profile, slams gerrymandered congressional districts. I agree totally. Seems to me there must be a way to have fair and more or less impartial redistricting. Any suggestions? Maybe it's a job for Nate Silver.
...................................
One of the few takeaways from the 2012 election where you'll get agreement from red and blue voters alike is on the subject of gerrymandered congressional districts built to give lifetime tenure to incumbents of both parties.
They're a blight on our system and a principal reason for the über-partisanship that has thrown sand in the gears in
Washington for years.

A fresh look at redistricting

Making this crap up is all you got? Better spend your time bowing to who you obviously believe is your master. 45329. concerned - 11/24/2012 4:58:59 AM 29 hour work week likely to be the new normal, thanks to 0bamacare.
It's going to be tough for a lot of people working two jobs, paying for health care and trying to get an education for a better job.
Lefties brought this on themselves, and unfortunately, everybody else. Way to go, idiots. 45330. concerned - 11/24/2012 5:00:54 AM iiibbb, Wombat - you look so stupid and trusting with your faith based reliance on Democrat Party whims. Not an original thought between the two of you. 45331. arkymalarky - 11/24/2012 5:07:23 AM "It's going to be tough for a lot of people working two jobs, paying for health care and trying to get an education for a better job. Forget Republican 'dog whistles' regarding Susan Rice's incompetence when she abjectly parrotted 0bama's lies regarding Benghazi - have you forgotten this (among many others) air raid siren of Democrat Party racism regarding SoS Condoleezza Rice?
Never try to tell me again that Democrats are less racist than Republicans. I won't believe that lie. 45333. concerned - 11/24/2012 5:11:06 AM The idiot is the one who didn't know that's been the case for years.
That would be you, who foolishly believed in 0bama's promises in 2008. Arky, IRL, you are a partisan bigot. This weakness leaves you open to easy manipulation by demagogues like 0bama. 45334. concerned - 11/24/2012 5:16:07 AM You Lefties here are in no way better than the Germans who supported Hitler. 45335. concerned - 11/24/2012 5:17:35 AM At least Hitler didn't need a teleprompter. 45336. arkymalarky - 11/24/2012 5:18:41 AM Hahahaha! It was that way long before Obama.
Con'd on Friday night. Gotta love it . 45337. arkymalarky - 11/24/2012 5:19:40 AM Hotler! Hitler! 45338. concerned - 11/24/2012 5:38:59 AM Not with 5% unemployment until late 2008, it wasn't. Face it, for the first time since the Great Depression, burger flipping is now beginning to look like a desirable occupation to many, all thanks to Lefty policies. 45339. concerned - 11/24/2012 5:48:53 AM I recall seeing an article recently where in Greece, a long time graphical illustration professional was forced to move back to the family two acre farm to raise olives and goats due to the collapse of their socialist state. How many Americans have that option?
