They can say "No, go back to the pool and get us a qualified conservative for this position." it's not like if they had said no to DeVos all of a sudden they were going to have Diane Ravitch in the position.
Or have I already ranted about this? I'm just stunned and dismayed at the utter lack of integrity. I don't care how much McCain and McConnell badmouth the Administration or play the word games of "Tough on Trump" they still voted to approve unqualified people just because Trump wanted them.
I'm just so fucking disgusted with it all I can't even listen to the radio or bring up the internet because I'm tempted to go see what the latest train wreck is.
And the media is still not doing the job it should. They need to STFU about the outrageous but ultimately meaningless Trump antics and hammer the shit out of the lies and coverups and the total failure of the Legislative Branch to protect our country and our democracy from ruin.
I don't know that we can recover from this. Once you've accepted that the President of the United States is going to go on record DAILY with yet another complete falsehood, that egregious and ridiculous lies are just a matter of course for his entire administration, how the hell do you come back from that? I don't think you do.
It's kind of like if somebody takes a dump on a dinner plate -- doesn't matter how many times you wash it, nobody ever wants to eat off it again.

The majority literally threaten, assault, and beat down the minority viewpoint in those places. It is not a credit to Trump's opposition.

Violence against minorities has always happened -- it happened during the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s -- but it's always against founding principles of the country, and always disgusting to people who value freedom of expression, whether perpetrated against Muslims, Sikhs, Jews, or -- Trump voters

I got so disgusted with them in the last two or three weeks of the election that I pretty much turned them all off. I'm very glad to see a return to investigative journalism, and the New Yorkers been good the whole time, and Frankly, slate was one of the other outlets before the election who was doing a pretty good job of calling out the bs. Now I'm liking the Washington Post and some of the nyt again. But there's a lot more investigative journalism and a lot of that was not there during the campaign. No flights of any sort can come in or go out while he's at Mar A Lago.
They didn't say but I wonder if a Care Flight helicopter with a transplant organ for a local hospital would be re-routed? Helicopters are included in the "down time" weekends at that airport.
