5153. Ms. No - 2/18/2016 11:52:37 PM I have recently (past few months) gotten motivated to do some decorating, purging, re-organizing, optimization of my abode. It's random little things that have no real pattern, but I've found that, much as I love lists, I can often get more accomplished if I just follow the random whim to do some task.
F'rinstance
I bought some chalkboard paint and am painting the long center-panel of the vintage ironing board cabinet in my kitchen so that I can write grocery stuff on it.
It's bizarre to me that I chose this project since I'm not a fix-y or cute decorator in the least. But it was fast and it seemed fun. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I have finally brought an actual sample tin of paint home so I can get an idea of whether or not I really do want to paint my living room some shade of yellow. I'm not really a yellow person, but it seems right for the room. We'll see. 5154. arkymalarky - 2/19/2016 6:27:57 AM Fun! Have you read any of the Konmari system? I bought the book but I want Stan to use it first. 5155. Ms. No - 2/19/2016 5:48:00 PM Ha! Yes, I picked up both of them about 3 weeks ago but haven't had a chance to even open them yet. I got them because my friend has been talking about The Joys of Tidying Up for over a year now.
It got to where she felt like some kind of evangelist and would apologize to me for bringing it up, but I'm glad she kept at it because I really like what she describes as Kondo's approach.
Anyway, they're on the "Do List" for the near future.
