602. CalGal - 11/14/1999 4:21:06 AM Dusty,
My first guess is your "align=left" tag.
BTW, to get rid of all those spaces, don't put any carriage returns in before or after the table tags. 603. PelleNilsson - 11/14/1999 4:30:51 AM CalGal
Your are an IE person. Could you please check the link in #595? 604. CalGal - 11/14/1999 5:00:49 AM Pelle,
I'd tried it earlier but the link hadn't worked. I looked at it again and figured out why.
Looks very nice! The width is fine. 605. dusty - 11/14/1999 5:11:47 AM CalGal
So what's wrong with "align=left". I mean it obviously messed up, but why? 607. PelleNilsson - 11/14/1999 5:13:44 AM Thank you, CalGal. 608. CalGal - 11/14/1999 5:17:10 AM Dusty,
Understand I just guess at this. But consider that table align=left then takes the following text and moves it to the left. Any text. It doesn't know from posts.
So I wouldn't use the align tag unless I had text that was going to wrap around the table. 609. dusty - 11/14/1999 5:18:22 AM Pelle
The original link is mesed up. Try this instead.
610. dusty - 11/14/1999 5:20:24 AM And a close table doesn't change that? I have much to learn. 611. CalGal - 11/14/1999 5:21:36 AM No, the close table is what starts the wrap. And I just learn this as I go along--it was Soup that started me on the right track. I'm a lazy coder, quite frankly. 612. CalGal - 11/14/1999 5:22:28 AM Oh, wait.
But consider that table align=left then takes the following text and moves it to the left.
The text following the table. Not the text in the table.
I am also a lazy tech writer.

That Dec.5 book signing is at Harbor Center in Annapolis, MD and not the Inner Harbor, Baltimore, MD. Alas, I was looking forward to the possibility of meeting my first Motie in the flesh. Oh well. 619. Dusty - 11/15/1999 8:44:12 PM Ooops, sorry. That's not particularly close. Although I should get to Annapolis sometime. 620. dusty - 11/16/1999 2:20:15 AM Engine | Status | When Active? |

MSN wants a description. I'll work on something, but I want feedback before I submit it. Lycos specifically notes that it does not use Meta tag info, while Altavista specifically does. (I can resubmit after we add the meta tag data.)

Yikes, what am I saying? Target="new" doesn't work for images.
What you want is the width command.
Width="xxx" where xxx is no greater than 425
Tell you what, I'll remove 622 and 623, and we can start over.
