I am with you on movies sensationalizing racial struggles, especially now.
It's interesting that "Gangster Squad" had an entire sequence rewritten and taken out of the movie because of what happened in Aurora, Colorado, yet they're still pushing for movies with racial stereotypes and that can incite violence.
I'm sure some Hollywood big name will get behind a Trayvon Martin biopic next. 8966. It's based on the late 70s AbScam brouhaha and is totally believable...ha!
Very authentic sets, wardrobe, music, everything is correct down to the last detail. Funny but also serious to a degree. No chase scenes, no explosions, no gruesome decapitations, no super-heroes to the rescue.
The acting is outstanding...across the board.
